It’s not always about you.
Yes, it’s true. In case you haven’t noticed, there is also me.
Call me a cod, if you want, or a strange fruit, but you can normally call me Ramon Loyola. Sounds funny, I know, and usually tricks your tongue into knots when you pronounce it.
I write creative fiction, poetry, medical news, legal articles and other readable stuff. My writings have appeared in various publications, including Asian Medical News and Medical Observer (health and medical), MAN Magazine, the tablet, STU magazine and emanilapoetry.com (creative) and Thomson Reuters Australia (legal). I have also worked as a television scriptwriter and researcher for ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation and as a public relations specialist.
My science degree in Industrial Pharmacy from the University of the Philippines helps me to delve deeper into the wonders of life.
My Master of Law and Legal Practice (MLLP, now Juris Doctor) from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) is the badge I carry with me during the day when I work as a lawyer (not the usual lawyer that you know, just a poor and overworked one).
But I blame my MA in Creative Writing from UTS for my sheer craziness. And because I’m just crazy, it’s really all about me, me, me.
But then—just then—I’m usually crazy.
